Hey everyone, I know this one’s up super late, so I’m gonna be honest. At the moment I’m going through some pretty heavy stuff, so really just trying to keep pushing forward and move positively from day to day in life.
Usually because of the premise of this blog I try NOT to focus on what’s going on in my life and more about thoughts, lessons, and awesome experiences, but I thought my dedicated readers at least deserved an explanation as to why I’ve been sort of on and off when it comes to posting on time.
Anyway, this week’s musing just thought I’d get a few things off my chest and encourage any of you who may be going through difficult situations to hang tight and know that you’re never too tired to go back into battle. Ready? Armor up…
Musings Episode 62: Keep Your Head Up…
Everyone, and I do mean everyone at some point (actually, at times multiple points) has some rough patches in their lives they go through. Everyone copes differently with these moments, depending on the person.
The main thing is that through it all, no matter how many times you’ve fought, how many battles you’ve been through, or how long they’ve lasted, the main thing to remember is to ALWAYS keep your head up.
There may be moments when you’re discouraged, beaten down, and almost feel like giving up. It’s in these moments that you’ve gotta remember you’re strong enough to overcome whatever it is you’re going through – you’re strong enough to take it on head on and come out victor in the end.
It’s absolutely critical you think this way, because like a child who grows up to be an adult, in difficult times optimism can often slip away and become lost.
It’s absolutely critical you hold onto that part of your childhood where optimism, innocence, and undying relentlessness keeps you pushing forward and persevering.
The only way children come to believe in Santa Claus is through these tools.
It’s the thought process we obtain as we get older that causes us to “stop believing” – stop hoping, stop anticipating the good, stop getting excited.
Sometimes, growing up can be one of the worst things to happen, depending on how you take it.
Or it can be the greatest – it all lies in whether or not you choose to accept or reject the majority’s thought process of how you should look at or come to accept situations, people, and experiences in life.
So stay true to being yourself – and remember, no matter what happens, it shall soon pass – and you’ll overcome it, find a way around it, or through it, the way YOU want to.
The only two things.people that have control over your life, is YOU, and the higher force that created you – the creator, universe, Adonai, energy & matter, mother nature, whatever you wanna call it.
Those are the ONLY two. Other than that, no one, and I do mean NO ONE, has the right to DICTATE what turn your life is supposed to take. No one has the right to control your destiny but YOU.
Let someone do that to you and you’ve officially let someone take your power.
No matter what happens, keep your head up…
and don’t forget to look out for this week’s Make it Mondays post – it’ll be up by tonight.
As always…
Stay awesome.
